Health centers recognizing the need for new facilities, renovated space, service expansion, or updated equipment quickly discover that capital development is a complex endeavor. Capital projects become more informed and manageable when following a methodical process. Drawing upon experience and available resources, this session will provide a strategic approach to capital planning and financing. We will review techniques designed to prepare your organization, estimate capacity, and address specific needs that help determine project design, scale, and impact. This session will share resources available for each phase of the planning and financing process, such as debt capacity and estimating staff and square footage, so health centers can follow an established path to achieve their project goals.
