FHIR is the plumbing—not the dashboard. This session will focus on how health IT teams can move beyond “having FHIR available” to activating simple, low‑cost use cases that reduce manual work, standardize data across EHRs, and turn interoperable data into real operational value.

May Health Policy Committee Meeting
Focus on Quality is a webinar series where Indiana's community health centers work collectively to address the needs of the populations they serve every day. Every month, Focus on Quality will highlight a specific population and feature content experts and identified tools, along with peer best practice sharing, to improve the health and well-being of that population. Centers are encouraged to take these tools and best practices and implement them in their centers for quality improvement purposes. May's focus will be on depression remission. Devon Jones from HealthLinc will be presenting on their best practices for this measure and caring for patients with depression.
Considerations for Adolescents’ Contraceptive Care and Access
This one-hour session will equip clinicians, clinic managers, school-based health providers, and public health professionals with practical, evidence-based strategies to support adolescents’ access to and use of contraceptive services. Participants will explore the multifaceted barriers young people face and learn actionable approaches to protect confidentiality, streamline clinic workflows, and create youth-friendly environments that improve access to contraception. Attendees will leave with concrete steps to operationalize confidential care, reduce access gaps, and improve contraceptive care for adolescents.
