Often called O&E, Outreach and Enrollment is a national initiative to spread awareness about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and increase the amount of insured Americans. The IPHCA O&E team works with health centers across Indiana to expand access to health care through application assistance, patient education, and community outreach. IPHCA strengthens the statewide O&E network by providing technical assistance, guidance, and training to federal Navigators, Indiana Navigators, Certified Application Counselors (CACs) and other O&E professionals. In September 2015, IPHCA was awarded a grant from the Centers on Medicare and Medicaid to provide services as a federal Navigator organization. Through this funding, IPHCA now has a network of federal Navigators in nine health centers across the state.
