Dental Providers Role in Preventing Tobacco and HPV Related Cancer

The American Cancer Society and Delta Dental Foundation invite dental providers to a 5-part series on the Role of Dental Providers in Preventing Tobacco and HPV Related Cancers.

Tobacco use and HPV are the greatest risk factors for oral and oropharyngeal cancers. The incidence rates for oral and oropharyngeal cancers are more than twice as high for men as for women.  Tobacco cessation is critical to reducing cancer. HPV cancers can be prevented through vaccination.

Dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and dental students are encouraged to attend the virtual webinars. In each session, participants will hear from subject matter experts who will share important and scientific information and will talk about cancer-preventing vaccines and oral cancer screenings.
