Calling all Certified Application Counselor Designated Organizations (CDOs)
What Makes a Good Success Story?
CDO Success Stories showcase the work of Certified Application Counselor Designated Organizations (CDOs) throughout the country, and may highlight best practices, stories of consumers successfully assisted with Marketplace enrollment, and/or the accomplishment of a Certified Application Counselor (CAC).
How Do I Submit a Story?
- Email your success story to [email protected]. Use “CDO Success Story” as the subject line of your message. We will accept a few bullets or a longer narrative of your success story. No win is too small to mention! Submission of pictures and short video clips (< 2min) of your CDO and CACs in action is highly encouraged. Note: Do not submit pictures or short videos with consumers personal identifiable information (PII).
- The Marketplace Assister Support Team will review the submission for approval. If approved, we may share your success story with the Assister Community.
What is the Value of a Success Story?
CDO Success Stories elevate the important work of CDOs and the CACs that help support consumers enroll in health coverage through the Marketplace. Your story will help the Marketplace:
- Recognize CDO and CACs accomplishments.
- Help the Assister Community identify best practices for outreach, education, and enrollment.
Need a little inspiration? Here is an example of a recent CDO Success Story we received:
“In Arkansas, we had a very moving success story. A patient drove more than an hour and a half from Little Rock to come to our facility because her doctor was in the area. She came in and received her treatment and did not know that her Medicaid was cut off. She had been discharged before we could screen her. We were able to contact her after the fact and re-enroll her. The woman shared that she was distraught because of her medical conditions not allowing her to work. She was about to lose her house. But because we were able to intervene, she was able to continue with treatment to get her back on the road to recovery. She was very grateful we took the time to help and explain the process for getting coverage.”
We look forward to hearing your story!
