National Facial protection month

National Facial Protection Month

The theme for National Facial Protection Month 2024 is “Building A Hopeful Future, together.”

This annual campaign, which takes place in April in the United States, encourages the use of safety equipment to prevent sports-related injuries to the head and face.

National Facial Protection Month is sponsored by the Academy for Sports DentistryAmerican Academy of Pediatric DentistryAmerican Academy of PediatricsAmerican Dental AssociationAmerican Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Together they encourage children and adults to enjoy the pleasures of the season by using common sense and taking the necessary precautions to prevent sports injuries. The goal is to raise awareness about the importance of wearing athletic mouthguards and other protective gear to reduce facial injuries during sports activities. Whether you’re on the field, at practice, or simply enjoying outdoor fun, staying protected is crucial to prevent unnecessary harm. Remember to prioritize safety and take care of your face and head! 🏀🥋🏈

Help raise awareness. Here, you’ll find a wealth of resources – facts and statistics, flyers and posters to download and share, and tips for avoiding injuries.
