The NNOHA Oral Health Leadership Institute (NOHLI) is a year-long, in-person and online training program providing core knowledge and competencies that health center/safety-net oral health leaders need to develop as effective managers, directors, and advocates for oral health and their communities. NOHLI addresses the need for leadership training and technical assistance that is specific to oral health leaders practicing in Federally Qualified Health Centers/safety-net clinics.

Learning Collaborative on Integrating Diabetes and Oral Health
NNOHA is recruiting health centers to participate in a Breakthrough Series Learning Collaborative on Integrating Diabetes and Oral Health (IDOH) funded through NNOHA’s National Training and Technical Assistance Partnership with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
The Learning Collaborative will take place from October 2023 to June 2024 with one in-person session and six virtual sessions.
The IDOH Learning Collaborative is an excellent opportunity for Federally Qualified Health Centers and Health Center Program Look-Alikes to apply quality improvement tools to expand and enhance oral health integration with primary health care, to deliver whole-person care, to increase the percentage of health center patients who receive both oral health and medical care, and to increase collaboration among medical and dental providers and staff.

NNOHA is excited to announce THREE free new self-paced online modules in NNOHA EDU, NNOHA’s Virtual Learning Hub.
1. UDS Sealant Measure:
A 30-minute module that reviews the foundation of the UDS Sealant Measure. This course is recommended for all dental team members, especially those new to health centers. It is also a great resource for IT and quality team members. Presented by Dr. Irene Hilton (0.5 CDE)
2. Sliding Fee Scale:
Presented by Dr. Bob Russell, this 30-minute module describes the sliding fee scale for dental programs. (0.5 CDE)
3. Opioid Use Disorder:
This course qualifies towards the DEA opioid course requirement. It reviews best practices for safe and effective pain management. Presented by Dr. Dan Brody. (1.0 CDE)
