What is Be Happy?
The Indiana Behavioral Health Access Program for Youth (Be Happy) is a child psychiatry access program for all pediatric primary care providers in Indiana. Be Happy offers free same-day telephone consultations with a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist.
What kind of consultations do you provide?
Any child mental health questions concerning the next steps for your pediatric patients. (Example: What medications might be most effective? What assessment instruments could I be using? What kind of psychotherapy would be best for my patient?)
Who can use Be Happy services?
All Indiana health care professionals (physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists, nurses, social workers, etc.) who work with youth and families.
How does Be Happy work?
Call the Be Happy line Monday-Friday 09:00AM-5:00 PM at (317) 278-7700. After a coordinator takes basic information, a psychiatrist will return your call within an hour or at a requested callback time period. We will fax a finished consultation for your records.
