National Cancer Survivors Day

National Cancer Survivors Day® is a CELEBRATION for those who have survived, an INSPIRATION for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of SUPPORT for families, and an OUTREACH to the community.

Cancer affects everyone. With more than 18.1 million people living with and beyond cancer in the U.S. today – and nearly 44 million people diagnosed with cancer within the past 5 years worldwide – everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by cancer.

On Sunday, June 4, 2023, people around the world are joining together to recognize these cancer survivors, and to raise awareness of the challenges of cancer survivorship, as part of the 36th annual National Cancer Survivors Day® Celebration of Life.

According to the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, administrator for the celebration, “A ‘survivor’ is anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life.”
