Kislaya Kunjan
Chief Informatics Officer
Kislaya Kunjan attained his PhD in health informatics from the Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing (Indianapolis, IN). His dissertation was on the design and implementation of a multidimensional big data analytics platform for community health centers. He has authored multiple publications in the area of community health center informatics. Prior to his doctoral studies, he received an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) and an MBA from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). His professional career has spanned working as a sales engineer with Saint Gobain, product management with Johnson & Johnson, co-founding and leading a medical device start-up, and management consulting with the Marion County government.
Role at IPHCA
Lead and implement all health IT related initiatives in line with goals for a health center controlled network
Convene and lead health center user groups and peer learning networks in the area of EHR improvement and optimization
Implement initiatives in the area of health information exchange, data aggregation and analytics to support population health management
Develop project work plan for completion of IT projects, including identifying contracted expertise as needed and report progress to the HCCN Director
Develop and manage relationships with health center staff, vendors, and other stakeholders
