Indianapolis - Emergency Management Table Top Exercise - Avian Flu Epidemic! ASPR approved exercise designed to explore Community Health Centers readiness during an emergency. Health Centers will examine and test their policies, processes, and procedures for responding during an emergency. This exercise is designed to meet emergency preparedness regulations for maintaining compliance and or maintaining accreditation. Bring at least 2 people from your CHC and a copy of your emergency mgment plan

AVIAN Flu Epidemic

Participating Health Centers should send 2 or more people to get the best results from this training.

Who should attend:
Emergency response officer/leader
Clinical Staff
Front Line Staff
Operations Staff
Care Team Staff 

3 hour long modules covering various aspects of emergency response. Attendees should have an understanding of their policies, procedures, and command structure for their health center.

A "hotwash"/critique will be done during lunch at 12:00 noon.

 

Objectives
*Exercise the ability to understand the importance of incident command to aid in
managing the incident within the clinics along with coordinating between
County Emergency Management Director, County Public Health Department
(ESF-8) and the District Healthcare Coalition on resource needs.
*Demonstrate the ability to communicate critical related information both
internally and externally utilizing information sharing networks for sharing and
disseminating situational awareness
*Test medical surge capabilities to the clinics and how to manage influx of
pandemic flu patients including resource management.
*Meet the goals to satisfy emergency preparedness regulations for maintaining
compliance and/or maintaining accreditation.
