October 12 - October 16
This year’s Virtual Conference was a first for the association!
Taking the place of our annual in person spring conference, the virtual conference was designed with the member in mind. Spanning over five days, each session was only an hour and a half to two hours long, featuring a 30-minute keynote address and then several hour long breakouts covering a multitude of topics.
While COVID casts its shadow over the conference topics, keynotes including Dr. Virginia Caine, Director of the Marion County health department, Steve Long, CEO of Hancock Health, and Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb reminded us that our mission goes beyond COVID interventions. Our closing keynote Reverend James King, a health center consumer reminded us that we do matter, and we do make a difference in the lives of the individuals health centers serve.
The breakouts picked up on the service theme by sharing best practices within Oral Health, Behavioral Health in a primary care setting, Transitions of Care and Hepatitis C interventions. CHC governance and workforce were addressed as well. The standard breakouts you attend the conference for were not forgotten, with the FSSA panel and legislative panel featuring four state legislators talking about the fiscal health of the state and health disparities.
Telehealth, Emergency Preparedness, and Financial Planning were included among the COVID themed presentations.
With over 350 registered individuals this was IPHCA’s biggest conference to date!
Thanks to our attendees, speakers, and sponsors.
