Primary Care Practice OpportunitiesThe Indiana Primary Health Care Association works with local and state leaders to design and implement strategies for improving health care access for residents who live in rural and urban underserved communities in Indiana. One of the keys to providing health care access to rural and urban underserved areas is provider recruitment. Indiana J-1 Visa Waiver Program This program is for J-1 Physicians who are interested in receiving a J-1 Visa Waiver recommendation from the state of Indiana. We provide Technical Assistance for sites and physicians preparing a J-1 Visa Waiver Application for submission. Please click here for more information including program guidelines and submission requirements. National Health Service Corps This program is for physicians interested in Federal Loan Repayment as well as sites in underserved areas who are interested in becoming an NHSC approved site. NHSC approved sites can use the NHSC program for recruitment purposes and to provide their clinicians the opportunity to apply for Loan Repayment. Please click here to view eligibility guidelines and application information. Provider Placement Services One of the keys to improving access to quality health care services in rural and urban underserved areas is provider recruitment. Our Provider Placement Services help to connect primary medical, dental and mental health professionals to underserved communities in Indiana. Many of these communities are seeking multiple providers, and most sites qualify for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps program. We offer an informative, confidential, low-pressure recruitment service which focuses on helping candidates and their families select a practice site compatible with their needs; thus, increasing the likelihood of a long-term relationship. We know that selecting a practice opportunity is an important decision for you and your family. Our placement services are designed to assist you in finding opportunities that best fit your personal and professional needs. These services are offered at no cost to providers. You will find working with our staff to be easy and enjoyable. Our personalized services include:

Opportunities with Community Health Centers Current Openings Community health centers offer medical, dental and mental health care services to underserved populations in neighborhoods of need throughout Indiana. Community health center providers practice the full spectrum of care, treating the whole person-regardless of ability to pay or insurance status. As a community health center provider, you will have the satisfaction of fostering long-term relationships with patients, improving access and continuity of care. Community health center providers join an interdisciplinary team of professionals who are improving the quality of life for patients, impacting the health of the entire community. Community health centers are also clinically progressive; utilizing evidence based practices, electronic medical records and other tools to manage the health of their patients. Their development and implementation of new chronic disease management programs have been nationally recognized for improving the health outcomes of patients with diabetes, asthma and other chronic diseases. Community health centers provide competitive salaries, excellent benefits and a regular schedule. Many of these sites are also eligible for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps. In addition, since health center providers are not burdened with the responsibilities of running a practice, they are free to focus on the needs of their patients and their communities. Although community health center benefits may vary, most include:
