Involvement Opportunities:
IPHCA Members
IPHCA members have access to a broad range of opportunities for participation
in programs, activities, and events aimed at improving access to quality
primary health care, especially for Indiana's uninsured and underinsured
citizens. Some examples:
A fundamental element in IPHCA's success is its ability to mobilize strong and timely support for access to quality care for the medically underserved in Indiana. IPHCA members can become part of this important grassroots advocacy work by immediately registering support for vital legislation through VoterVoice, a powerful program that enables members to contact local, state, and national representatives online. To access this program, click the "voterVOICE" link (above). Also watch for ongoing legislative information in IPHCAs "News and Updates" electronic newsletter.

Each year, IPHCA sponsors training events addressing important topics, from patient coding / billing to Quality Improvement. Many of these offerings provide attendees with Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Check the "Events Calendar " section and the electronic "News and Updates" newsletter for notices of these events, and refer to the "IPHCA Programs" section for related ongoing information.
IPHCA sponsors three standing forums – the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) Forum, the State-Funded Health Center Forum, and the Clinical Leadership Forum. Meetings are publicized on this site, and meeting Minutes are available via archives. Contact the IPHCA office (317/630-0845) for more information, and check the "Events Calendar" for meeting dates.
IPHCA offers customized information and resources on governance, finances, administration, and clinical operations of Community Health Centers. Call the IPHCA office (317/630-0845) to discuss specific needs, and refer to the "Events Calendar" section for training dates.
Through the Health Disparities Collaborative and the computerized Cockpit program (available to members by discounted subscription), IPHCA offers expert assistance and powerful technology addressing quality assessment and improvement. Refer to the "IPHCA Programs" section of this site, as well as the "Cockpit" link (above), for further information.
IPHCA provides both general and on-site assistance in this increasingly critical functional area. See the "IPHCA Programs" section for more details.
The unique electronic Cockpit Data Collection and Benchmarking program enables subscribers to access ongoing data for critical performance indicators – literally at the push of a computer key – and provides a "best practices" benchmark for each indicator. Click the "Cockpit" link (above) to get started.

IPHCA members have continual access to resources – including National Health Service Corps listings and 3R-Net – for assistance in recruiting and retaining health care professionals. See the "Career Opportunities" section of this site.
Each year, IPHCA holds an Annual Meeting, featuring progress updates and the opportunity to get to know other IPHCA members. Look for announcements on this site and in the "News and Updates" electronic newsletter.
A number of IPHCA offerings – such as the unique Cockpit program for performance benchmarking – are available to members at special discounts.
IPHCA members have sole access to numerous features and resources through the "IPHCA Members" section of this web site. In addition, special programs are periodically made available to IPHCA members only; look for notices of these on this site and in the "News and Updates" electronic newsletter.
In addition, most membership categories offer the opportunity to be part
of IPHCA Board-related activities, including Board membership and participation
on standing committees.
