What’s New about Medicaid Managed Care (Leadership) MDWise, Inc.

Hoosier Healthwise is a state and federally funded managed care program serving Hoosier families, children and pregnant women who meet Medicaid income and residency requirements.  Also, includes the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). We will give Primary Medical Providers (PMP) an overview of our HEDIS incentives, update on changes in pharmacy, presumptive eligibility, and behavior health updates in regards to CHIP.  

Care Select is a and federally funded managed care program serving Hoosiers that are disabled, aged, blind, wards of the court, or foster children who meet Medicaid income, asset, and residency requirements.  PMPs will learn about Waiver members being rolled into Care Select effective 2/1/10.  Also, we will provide an overview of PMP incentives for certain preventive screenings.   

The Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) is a state (cigarette tax passed by the legislature), federal and member funded (individual contributions and a state/member funded $1,100/year POWER Account) uninsured program for working Hoosier individuals and families without access to employer sponsored health insurance.

Utilizing Productivity, Efficiency, and an Incentive Bonus Plan to Improve Quality (Finance/Operations)

Attendees will learn how to establish a mechanism for monitoring efficiency, create an incentive program with quality measures, and integrate an incentive program into a quality model by looking at provider productivity and HealthNet’s incentive program.

In this session, attendees will get an overview of State and Federal Health Information Technology (HIT) Activity as well as an update on the Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE) and services provided.

Telling your Center’s Story to the Community and Partners (Marketing)

Obtaining community support and participation in program planning and implementation is critical to the success of your community health center. To get your community interested and involved, you need to get the word out. This session will provide you with the tools to map your community, identify its key influencers, and develop a contact strategy based upon this mapping. Gain insight on evaluating the benefits of your health center’s services for the various segments of your community and articulating those advantages in your story telling. Participants will also walk away with numerous tips and ideas for getting and keeping the community and partners involved in their health center.
