ArchivesNew Study Shows Health Impact of Income, Education, Related Factors
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's new report - Overcoming Obstacles to Health: Toward a Healthier, More Fair America - dramatically demonstrates how the chances of becoming ill or even dying prematurely are impacted by powerful social forces. The study also provides new evidence of how health disparities relate to race, ethnicity, etc. The report makes clear that many Americans are not as healthy as they should be partly because of their income level, neighborhood environment, and other social factors. Included is new evidence of both the human and financial costs of health differences stemming from these factors. Click here to view the complete report.
