Phil Morphew is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Business. He has a Master’s Degree from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. For most of Phil’s professional life he has been involved with health care quality improvement, both at Health Care Excel where he served as CEO from1980 to 2001 and as an active member and officer of the American Health Quality Association. Phil left Health Care Excel in 2001 to join the Peace Corp as a volunteer in Zimbabwe, and he has remained engaged in Zimbabwe as a social entrepreneur. Prior to joining IPHCA, Phil was a Senior Associate with The Regis Group, where his focus was on governance and strategic planning in the non-profit sector.

Carla Chance graduated in 1978 from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. In 1998 she became a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and in 2008 she successfully completed the Community Health Center Executive Management Fellowship. Carla has worked as a hospital nurse and public health nurse. She has also worked at Anthem in a variety of positions including fraud and abuse investigator and nurse reviewer for the Cost Guard unit. In 1988 she was employed by Wishard Health Services (WHS) as a patient account auditor until she took a management position in the Quality Management Department. She has over 20 years experience in the healthcare quality field. In 1998 she left WHS to take a position with the Indiana Primary Health Care Association where she has held several different positions and is currently Director of CHC Services.

Don Schoolcraft received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, Bloomington and his Masters in Business Administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati. He served 4 years as Assistant Administrator of a United States Air Force Hospital in Michigan before retuning to his home in Indiana. Don worked 3.5 years as Director of Administrative Services with William S. Major Hospital in Shelbyville, 10 years as Vice President of Westview Hospital, Indianapolis, 6.5 years as Senior Vice President of the Indiana Blood Center, and 5.5 years as Director/CEO of the West Central Indiana AHEC before joining IPHCA in 2007 as Finance and Operations Program Director. He assumed the role of Director of Operations in December 2008.

Natalie Brown received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2004. She went on to receive her Master of Public Health degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2006. As a Health & Safety Services Intern at the Monroe County Chapter of the American Red Cross she implemented an educational outreach tool and provided demonstrations to elementary school children within the Monroe County Community School Corporation. Natalie came to IPHCA in 2007 as Grassroots Coordinator, working toward the successful passing of the Healthy Indiana Plan as well as increased funding for Indiana Community Health Centers. She then provided data analysis for members submitting grant applications through President Bush’s High Poverty County Initiative in her role as Data & Knowledge Management Specialist before moving to her current position.

Mark Vonderheit joined the IPHCA team in March 2010.
A graduate of Indiana State University, Mark’s career experience includes nursing home administration with Beverly Enterprises and 17 years as a program manager at Noble of Indiana.
Most recently, Mark worked for the State of Indiana, serving in the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning as part of both the Medical Review and Care Programs teams.

Elaine Williams received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Asbury College (KY). She has continued her formal education by taking graduate classes in business/marketing. She has worked in health care for over 25 years. In 2000, she established a business providing in-home non-medical care primarily to older adults. In 2005, she sold this business. As a grant writer for a community development organization, she secured $5 million in economic development funding as well as funding for a training program for people with disabilities, health-related services, and housing renewal programs.

Kelly Kaufman received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies—Law and Society from Michigan State University. In 2005, she received her Master of Public Administration, with a concentration in Non-profit Management, from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. Before coming to IPHCA, Kelly worked in institutional advancement at Franklin College. Prior to that, she worked at the National Collegiate Athletic Association for six years.

Sharon Kramer received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from Long Island University, NY. In 2004, she received her Master of Science, with a concentration in Organizational Management and Leadership, from Springfield College, NH. Before coming to IPHCA, Sharon worked with John Snow, Inc. for nine years and Planned Parenthood of Suffolk County, NY for eight years.

Bryan Martin came to IPHCA with several years of Information Systems experience with multiple software
suites, hardware knowledge and several specialties including web site development and print
publication. He was a former Systems Engineer II with ATA Airlines. Prior to that role Bryan spent
several years in Denver, Colorado specializing in Digital Imaging for a Homes and Lifestyles publisher.
Bryan is a graduate of Indiana University, holding a BS in the Media of Arts and Sciences. He is also
certified in Applied Computer Sciences from Purdue University. He has a minor in Anthropology, which is a passion of his.

Stephanie Dillon is continuing her education at Indiana University Purdue University, majoring in English with a concentration in Event Planning. She brings a number of years of experience in human resources and communications work to her present position as Member Services Specialist. She is a member of the South Central Indiana Society for Human Resources, the American Society of Association Executives, and Meeting Planners International.

Angie McHugh has been with IPHCA for over 9 years and has a multitude of skills. Angie started out her career as a travel agent, but decided to come to IPHCA in 1999 as an Administrative Assistant. After 6 years in that role she became the Operations Coordinator. Recently, Angie took on a new role at IPHCA as Finance and Benefits Administrator.

Jessica Ellis received her Bachelor of Science degree in Retail Management and an associate degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University. Jessica comes to IPHCA bringing organizational skills and experience from retail management. She enjoys volunteering and has helped chair a committee for the Aids Walk, promotes Go Red for Women and the American Heart Association.

Kathy Ramsay became a full time employee of IPHCA in October of 2010 after contracting for the CHC Services Team. Kathy came to IPHCA from Thermo Fisher Scientific where she spent 5 years working as a Receptionist and Human Resource Assistant. She brings over 10 years of assistant experience and as well as vast knowledge of organizational and computer skills. Kathy is currently studying Human Resource Management in the Marian University Adult Program.

Sara Rotz is continuing her education, working toward a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management, at Indiana University - Purdue University in Indianapolis. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Sara joined AmeriCorps for two years working with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver. She is excited to integrate her previous experience and her studies into her work with IPHCA.
