About CHCs

An integral component of IPHCA's mission is to help develop, nurture, and continually expand the network of Community Health Centers (CHCs) across the state.

Indiana has two types of CHCs: Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) that receive funding from the Bureau of Primary Health Care (a component of the US Department of Health and Human Services), and State-Funded Health Centers funded by tobacco settlement monies allocated to the state.  All of Indiana's 19 FQHCs are also State-Funded, and 29 Centers receive monies only from the state.

This section contains both general information about Community Health Centers and specific information about CHCs in Indiana.
